Community Guidelines

The Nigerian Community exists to connect, support, and uplift Nigerians and friends of Nigeria worldwide. These Community Guidelines help ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for everyone. By participating, you agree to follow these guidelines.
1. Be Respectful
- Treat all members with kindness and respect
- No harassment, bullying, threats, or personal attacks
- No hate speech or discrimination based on ethnicity, nationality, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or disability
2. Authentic Participation
- Be honest about who you are
- Do not impersonate others or create fake accounts
- Do not mislead members for personal, political, or financial gain
3. Appropriate Content
Allowed:
- Constructive discussions
- Cultural, educational, and community-focused content
- Personal experiences shared respectfully
Not allowed:
- Explicit, violent, or sexually graphic content
- Promotion of illegal activities
- Scams, fraud, or misleading schemes
- Excessive self-promotion or spam
4. Privacy and Safety
- Do not share private or sensitive information (your own or others') without consent
- Respect personal boundaries and confidentiality
- Report suspicious or harmful behavior to moderators
5. Paid and Promotional Content
- Promotional posts may be limited to specific areas or membership levels
- Paid members must still follow all community rules
- Unauthorized advertising is prohibited
6. Moderation and Enforcement
Our moderation team may:
- Remove content that violates guidelines
- Issue warnings
- Temporarily suspend accounts
- Permanently ban users for repeated or serious violations
Moderation decisions are made to protect the community's health.
7. Reporting Issues
If you encounter content or behavior that violates these guidelines, please report it through the Platform or contact us directly.
8. Guideline Updates
We may update these Community Guidelines as the community evolves. Changes will be posted with an updated effective date.
